Auchan, Metro and Varus showed the prices of fish before Easter.


Information about fish prices in supermarkets before Easter was published on the Minfin portal. Many people strictly adhered to the requirements of Lent during the fasting period, including abstaining from fish, which was only allowed on festive days. It is expected that the Easter table will be abundant not only with meat dishes but also with various fish delicacies for those who have missed these products.
Market analysis shows interesting changes in the prices of popular types of fish.
For example, live carp costs an average of 148.05 UAH per kilogram, which is 2.41 UAH cheaper than in March. At the Auchan store, such carp can be purchased at the most affordable price - 129.00 UAH, while in Megamarket its price is 167.10 UAH.
The price of gutted carp has increased and now averages 198.05 UAH per kilogram, which is 2.20 UAH higher than the price in March. Prices for this product vary significantly between different stores: in Auchan, the price is 169.00 UAH, while in Megamarket, it is 227.10 UAH.
Lightly salted herring has decreased in price by an average of 1.80 UAH and now costs 192.70 UAH per kilogram. The lowest price for it is in Auchan - 179.00 UAH, followed by Novus - 184.00 UAH, and the highest price is in Megamarket - 215.10 UAH.
The price of fresh-frozen mackerel has increased by 5.72 UAH and now averages 209.05 UAH per kilogram. Prices in Novus and Megamarket are almost the same - 209.00 UAH and 209.10 UAH respectively.
It is also important to note that supermarkets have updated prices for pork.
