Zelensky's meeting with NATO Secretary General

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during which they discussed the need to increase pressure on Russia and coordinated sanctions.

In his message on social media, the Ukrainian leader noted that he informed the head of the Alliance about the current situation and shared details of contacts with international partners. Zelensky also talked about the formats and platforms that Ukraine is considering for continuing negotiations with the Russian side regarding a ceasefire.

'We also discussed sanctions that could realistically impact Russia. It is important that all decisions are coordinated. Then the sanctions will be effective,' emphasized the President of Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, without adequate pressure on Moscow, it is impossible to achieve just peace, and all parties understand this. A separate topic of conversation was Ukraine's cooperation with NATO and the preparation for future meetings.

The interlocutors agreed to maintain constant contact.
