Russia plans to obtain permission to purchase Boeing aircraft using frozen assets if a ceasefire is declared in Ukraine. This information was provided by Bloomberg, citing a source in Moscow. The Russian side understands that the use of frozen funds for purchasing aircraft is only possible after the conflict ends. Such a decision could be part of the easing of sanctions. However, the US will not discuss any economic agreements until a ceasefire is reached, stated a representative of the US National Security Council. The State Department and Boeing declined to comment on this information. Bloomberg's notification about Russian intentions led to a decline in Boeing's market value. Previously, Russia had appealed to the US to lift sanctions against 'Aeroflot' and restore direct air communication, but the American side did not respond to this. Boeing ceased operations in the Russian market after the invasion of Ukraine began. The resumption of aircraft deliveries to Russia is being considered against the backdrop of the manufacturer's problems due to Trump's tariff policy. The US views this as a possible incentive for ending the war with Ukraine.
