IDF launched a massive air operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon: a new war?.

The Israeli army has started a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon
In September 2024, the IDF launched a massive air operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The main goal of the attacks is the destruction of the organization's terrorist potential and military infrastructure.
Israeli military aircraft are striking the outskirts of the city of Deir-Qanoun an-Nahr. The General Staff of Israel has already approved a plan to attack Lebanon, Israel National News reports.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah stated that Israel's actions are a "crossing of red lines." He also claimed that the explosions that occurred on the eve were an attempt to kill 4,000 people in a minute.
Israeli Channel 12 called the conflict the Third Lebanon War. Flights at Ben Gurion Airport have been temporarily suspended.
According to the NYT, Hezbollah's explosive pagers were manufactured by an Israeli company. The operation to implement them has been ongoing since 2022, when Nasrallah banned militants from using mobile phones due to fears of Israeli surveillance.
