Grain Prices - How Much Does Transportation Cost in the EU.


Ukraine has reduced the prices of agricultural transportation by truck to Europe in July 2025, despite the full-scale conflict with Russia. This process has been made possible by using trucks for grain transportation. Currently, the largest volumes of agricultural products are being sent to various destination countries via road transport as maritime ports have been blocked due to the Russian invasion.
Prices for transporting grain trucks from Ukraine to Europe are decreasing. According to the Telegram channel Spike Brokers, in July, the price reduction is 17.9% for the Hungarian direction and 7.4% for the Moldovan. At the same Time, the cost of exporting products through Slovak, Romanian, and Polish border crossings has increased by varying percentages.
- Slovak border crossings - increase of 19.7%;
- Romanian - increase of 6.4%;
- Polish - increase of 3.4%.
Meanwhile, prices for domestic transportation remain stable. Tariffs for transporting grain by dump trucks within Ukraine also vary depending on the delivery direction.
- from central Ukraine to Danube ports - from 31 to 40 dollars;
- from central Ukraine to Odesa ports - from 24 to 27 dollars.
On international routes, prices also fluctuate:
- from Ternopil region to central or northern Italy - from 75 euros to 115 euros;
- from Ternopil region to central Bulgaria - from 55 to 75 euros;
- from Cherkasy region to southern Romania - from 55 euros to 75 euros.
