Top up to UAH 50,000 — who among the military will receive the right.

In August 2025, some military personnel may receive additional bonuses to their salaries for the destruction or damage of Russian equipment. In particular, it is known how much those who managed to destroy military helicopters will receive.

Results of the fighters' work in destroying enemy equipment

During the entire full-scale war, Ukrainian fighters have managed to destroy a wide variety of equipment. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there have been 10.99 thousand tanks and 22.96 thousand armored combat vehicles rendered inoperative since then. They have also 'landed' various types of helicopters, including Ka-52 and Mi-8.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the last month, Ukrainian military personnel managed to destroy three Russian helicopters. As of July 8, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainians have eliminated a total of 340 units of such equipment, while a month ago this figure was 337.

Some of the destructions were carried out as part of joint operations of Special Operations Forces and other units of the Armed Forces, particularly in the Belgorod region.

Payments for destroyed enemy equipment in 2025

According to data from the Ministry of Defense, the amount of the reward for the destruction of Russian occupiers' equipment varies, depending on what type of equipment it was.

In particular, the payment for a combat helicopter is set at UAH 48,720, and for a military helicopter — UAH 42,630.

For combat aircraft (fighter and attack aviation), the reward is UAH 121,800.

If the operation was carried out jointly, a reward for successfully completing missions as part of military units is provided.

For tasks defined in the directive document of a higher military command body, the following payment amounts are specified:

• brigade — UAH 365,400;
• regiment/battalion tactical group — UAH 243,600;
• battalion/division/equivalent military units (subunits) — UAH 121,800;
• company/battery/squadron/platoon/group/equivalent subunits — UAH 60,900.

The corresponding amounts are paid collectively to the unit or a separate military unit, and then distributed among the fighters depending on their personal contribution to the execution of the task.

Earlier, we wrote about who among the military is entitled to a payment of UAH 30,000. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, all fighters received such additional bonuses, but now only some categories among them receive the additional reward.

It was also reported that in July, fighters will receive increased amounts of monetary support. Higher payments will be made possible due to an indexation of about 4%.

In August 2025, additional rewards may be paid to Ukrainian military personnel for the destruction of Russian equipment, including helicopters. The amount of payments is determined according to the type of equipment and the shared nature of the performed operation, which allows for an increase in monetary support for the fighters.
