Drones attack Ryazan region (updated).


On the night of January 26, explosions occurred over the Ryazan oil refinery, which are linked to the activities of drones. Russian air defense forces shot down UAVs that were heading to the refinery. Eyewitnesses reported prolonged explosions every 3-5 minutes. More than 10 drones were shot down, and currently, there has been no fire at the refinery.
At the same Time, a thick column of smoke is rising around oil refining facilities. The work to shoot down drones continues.
The governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, noted that no one was injured as a result of the drone attack, and operational services are working on-site.
The Ryazan oil refinery is one of the largest in Russia and processes 17 million tons of oil annually. As a result of the explosions carried out by the drones, at least three tanks were damaged. Fire has also engulfed a workshop with equipment for cleaning diesel fuel and aviation kerosene. Local residents recorded over 50 explosions on social media.
