Ukrainian defense forces possess the largest experience in Europe with advanced defense technologies in all aspects of combat operations. This is confirmed at the highest level within the European Union.
As noted in the European Commission's response to a request from RBC-Ukraine, the Ukrainian defense industry has demonstrated impressive adaptability to new needs. This is particularly evident in the fields of unmanned systems, including aerial, ground, and maritime drones.
'For example, the number of UAVs, ground, and surface drones produced and used annually in Ukraine is likely higher than in the entire EU combined, giving them vast experience in mass effect,' the response states.
Moreover, electronic warfare systems that support unmanned systems and countermeasures against them, especially UAVs, create an incredibly valuable combination of knowledge for any armed forces.
As noted in the European Commission, this unique experience that the Ukrainian defense industry is gaining. 'The EU will ensure that the Ukrainian industry can leverage their experience and become a full-fledged participant in the European industrial base in this field,' the European Commission stated.
