Hero of Ukraine on the new wave of mobilization: The average age of new arrivals is 35+.


Commander of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile battalion Yaroslav Melnyk reported that the age of most men coming to his military unit is over 35 years, with very few 20-year-old servicemen. He stated this in an interview with "Glavkom".
He also noted that the number of personnel in his military unit is increasing differently; some come voluntarily, while others through mobilization.
Melnyk also commented on the situation with the air defense in Ukraine and noted that the country's weaponry has become more modern.
Previously, he stated that he works on the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system and explained his choice.
The Ministry of Defense is also working on automating the issuance of summons from territorial recruitment centers.
The Cabinet of Ministers also approved changes to the procedure for conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization.
Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers clarified the requirements for summons issued to conscripts and reservists.
