Hezbollah struck northern areas of Israel with rockets from Lebanon
The Hezbollah group carried out a massive rocket bombardment of northern Israel from Lebanese territory. The Iron Dome missile defense system carried out numerous interceptions over the Galilee peninsula. The city of Kiryat Shmona and surrounding settlements received air raid alerts. According to various sources, between several dozen to 50 rockets were fired. In response, the Israel Defense Forces struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, destroying a launch pad and other facilities.

Israel also carried out an airstrike on the west bank of the Jordan River, resulting in the deaths of the Tulkarm Brigade commander and four Islamic Jihad fighters. Additionally, following threats from Iran, the U.S. deployed the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt to protect Israel. The Pentagon announced additional measures to support Israel's defense.
According to Lebanon's Ministry of Health, a 17-year-old girl was killed and six civilians were wounded as a result of the Israeli strike. According to Axios, Iran could attack Israel as early as August 5.
However, Sky News Arabia reports that Iran plans to attack Israel on August 12-13, on the Day of Catastrophe and Heroism of the Jewish People.
