Pension indexing 'devoured' allowances: who among Ukrainians was deprived of supplements.

According to novyny.live, due to the increase in pensions, some Ukrainian pensioners lost the opportunity to receive age supplements. This happened because if the pension amount exceeds the established sum, additional payments are not credited.
For pensioners aged 70-74 years, the maximum age supplement is 300 hryvnias;For those aged 75-79 years - 456 hryvnias;After 80 years - 570 hryvnias.
Thus, after the indexing of pensions, many pensioners lost the right to age supplements due to exceeding the established threshold. Even in intermediate situations, when the pension amount slightly exceeds the limit, the supplement may amount to only a few hryvnias, to ensure the total amount does not exceed the established limit.
After the indexing of pensions, some Ukrainian pensioners lost the ability to receive age supplements due to exceeding the established limit. This may lead to some pensioners who receive small pensions not receiving additional payments in the form of age supplements.New age category and pension supplements
When transitioning to a new age category, pensioners receive only the difference between the pension levels:
- Upon reaching 75 years, the supplement is 156 hryvnias;
- Upon reaching 80 years, an additional 114 hryvnias is added.
The maximum amount of pension, at which age supplements are terminated, remains unchanged at 10,340.35 hryvnias. This leads to the situation where with the growth of the pension amount, more pensioners lose the right to age supplements due to exceeding the established limit. Thus, the new pension indexing, while a positive phenomenon, does not affect all citizens equally.
