Criminal Cases Against KCSA — What Are the Biggest Budget Losses.

In Kyiv, a number of criminal cases have been opened against officials of the KCSA. There are already 17 suspects, and the amount of budget losses is estimated at 200 million hryvnias, and this is not a one-Time show action in the fight against corruption.
This was stated by the spokesperson of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, Iryna Vynokurova, during the Evening.LIVE program.
What is known about the criminal cases in KCSA
According to Vynokurova, the biggest losses (over 164 million hryvnias) are associated with the suspension of the metro between 'Holosiivska' and 'Lybidska' in December 2023. According to the prosecutor's office, compensation through duplicate routes is only a part of the calculated losses.
'The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing, and if more time is needed, the investigators will request an extension. The period is from six months to a year, after which the cases should go to court', Vynokurova stated.
It was previously reported that the Kyiv prosecutor's office, together with the SBI, police, and SBU, uncovered a large-scale abuse scheme in the structural units of the KCSA. This led to significant losses for the Kyiv budget.
It should be noted that the ex-secretary of the Kyiv City Council, Volodymyr Bondarenko, has been handed a new suspicion. He faces ten years in prison.
After the investigation, it was found that serious abuses had occurred in the KCSA, leading to significant financial losses for the Kyiv budget. Uncovered corruption schemes violated the law and have already led to suspicions against several officials, including the ex-secretary of the Kyiv City Council.Read also
