Gary Lineker plans to leave the BBC
Famous former England national team footballer, football presenter, and expert Gary Lineker is planning to leave the BBC. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Daily Mail.
It is noted that an announcement regarding Lineker's dismissal will be made soon. The reason is numerous accusations of anti-Semitism that he has faced in the past two years. Earlier it was presumed that the 64-year-old expert would stop hosting the show Match of the Day, but would keep his job at the channel.
Lineker has repeatedly criticized Israel's policy towards Palestine. He has also reposted radical anti-Israel posts on social media. Some of those posts were later deleted by Lineker and he apologized. He claimed that those posts do not reflect his personal political views.
Paris Saint-Germain reached the UEFA Champions League final
In the second semifinal clash at the 'Parc des Princes' stadium in Paris, Luis Enrique's team confidently defeated London's 'Arsenal'. Recall that the first meeting ended with a victory for PSG with a score of 1:0.
Despite numerous attacks from the English club in the second half, PSG responded effectively - in the 72nd minute, Achraf Hakimi doubled PSG's lead - 2:0.
Bukayo Saka scored in response, reducing the overall score of the match, but it was not enough - the match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the French club.
Inter became the second finalist of the Champions League
After a 3:3 draw in the first match against 'Barcelona', 'Inter' managed to reach the Champions League final, defeating their opponent in a dramatic game with a score of 4:3 after extra Time.
In the second half, the Catalans managed to defend, but Inter proved to be stronger in the confrontation. In the first extra time, the winning goal for 'Inter' was scored by Davide Frattesi, capitalizing on the opponent's defensive mistakes.
So, in the Champions League final, PSG will play against Milan's 'Inter'. The decisive match of the tournament is scheduled for May 31 at the 'Allianz Arena' in Munich.
