MFA warns Ukrainians against traveling to Lebanon.


Due to the worsening security situation in the Middle East region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainian citizens refrain from any trips to Lebanon until the situation stabilizes. This was reported by the press service of the MFA.
The agency has prepared a series of recommendations for Ukrainians in Lebanon in light of the country's escalating security situation.
In particular, the MFA recommends that Ukrainian citizens in Lebanon avoid places of mass gatherings, not participate in demonstrations, strictly adhere to safety measures and rules for the stay of foreigners in the country, comply with lawful requirements of law enforcement agencies, monitor local government messages about the situation, and always carry identification documents.
During their stay in Lebanon, Ukrainian citizens are also advised to refrain from traveling to the following areas:
- areas bordering Syria;
- areas bordering Israel south of the Litani River;
- refugee camps Nahr al-Bared and Beddawi (near Tripoli), Ain al-Hilweh, and Mieh Mieh (near Sidon);
- Bekaa Valley;
- southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh district).

Recall that Israel plans to launch a military operation against the Lebanese group «Hezbollah» in the third or fourth week of July.
It should be noted that a large-scale confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah is likely to erupt in the coming weeks if Jerusalem and Hamas do not reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, according to US intelligence.
As reported, the Israel Defense Forces have destroyed more than 500 militants in Lebanon over nine months of conflict.
