Freight train derails in Belgorod region after 'interference'.


In the Belgorod region of Russia on the evening of September 10, an explosion occurred on the railway tracks, resulting in a freight train derailing. This is reported by the Telegram channel Baza.
According to the publication, the explosion occurred on the stretch between Volokonovka and Novy Oskol. The freight train, which was traveling from Bataysk to Stary Oskol, ran over an explosive device placed under the rail.
As a result of the explosion, the electric locomotive and about 10 wagons (58 in total) derailed. According to preliminary data, the wagons were empty, and there were no casualties.
At the same Time, the governor of the Russian region Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that the incident occurred due to 'illegal interference in the operation of the railway transport', without specifying details.
Due to the incident, the movement of several electric trains was canceled, and several passenger trains were rerouted. Special services are working at the scene, inspecting the railway tracks for other explosive devices.
The Russian Investigative Committee has initiated proceedings under the article on a terrorist act causing significant property damage.
It should be reminded that on the night of September 11 in the Russian city of Noyabrsk, two schoolboys, aged 13 and 14, burned a multipurpose Mi-8 helicopter. They were promised 'work' worth 5 million rubles (2.24 million hryvnias) for this act. According to reports, the schoolboys entered the helicopter landing area at the Noyabrsk airport through a hole in the fence. After this, they doused the helicopter with a flammable liquid and set it on fire with cigarettes on the second attempt. Due to the liquid explosion, one of the boys suffered severe facial burns.
