The Tastiest Cherry Compote - Be Sure to Prepare It.

As you prepare for winter, don't forget to make yourself a rich and fragrant cherry compote. This drink will bring back memories of summer days when it's cold outside.
Recipe from Zaxid.net:
- cherries - 500 g;
- sugar - 150 g;
- citric acid - 2 tsp;
- water - 2 l.
Method of Preparation
Choose cherries of any variety for the compote, but it is important that they are whole, not overripe, and not damaged. After washing, be sure to dry the cherries.
Place the prepared cherries in sterilized jars so that the berries occupy about a third of the volume.
Boil water and pour it over the berries to the top of the jars. Then close the jars with lids and let them sit for 15 minutes.
Pour the leftover water into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid. Bring the syrup to a boil and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour the finished syrup back onto the cherries in the jars, tightly close the lids, and place them upside down to create a vacuum. Then leave the jars until they cool down.
