Exchanged Russian Kara-Murza declared that sanctions against the Russian Federation are unfair.

Opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, who was freed after a prisoner exchange between Russia and the West, expressed his dissatisfaction with the sanctions against the Russian Federation. According to him, the sanctions are not aimed at specific criminals, but at the entire country and all Russian citizens. Kara-Murza believes that this is unfair and counterproductive, as it allows Russian propaganda to portray Russians as enemies. He called for personal sanctions against specific officials, as the famous politician Boris Nemtsov used to say.
It should be noted that Vladimir Kara-Murza was sentenced by a Moscow court to 25 years in prison for providing false information about the Russian army, collaborating with an undesirable organization, and state treason. The case was initiated because of his criticism of the Russian government and the war in Ukraine before US lawmakers. The oppositionist also received the Pulitzer Prize for his columns in The Washington Post.
This case occurred as part of a large-scale prisoner exchange between Russia, the USA, and Germany. The Russian Federation handed over 16 people to Western countries.
