PFU explained who among Ukrainians will have to return sick leave payments: how to submit a request.

The press service of the PFU informed Ukrainians about the procedure for submitting a corrective application-calculation to reduce the amount of sick leave payments. The application can be submitted through a personal account on the electronic services web portal.
Funding for sick leave certificates is carried out through the PFU, and insurers are required to submit special application-calculations indicating the amounts of insurance payments for employees.
If the insurance funds exceed the expenses for payments, the insurer must return the excess to the PFU account within three working days. This requires sending a written explanation to the territorial body of the regional PFU management.

If the insurer notices an error in the calculation of sick leave payments that led to an overstatement of the amount and receiving excess funds, they need to take the following steps:
- Prepare a corrective application-calculation with the correction type 'Reduction Correction' and attach a scanned copy of the payment document confirming the return of excess insurance funds to the PFU account.
- Specify the reason for the discrepancy in the special field of the online form.

It should be noted that the government has simplified the procedure for obtaining pensions and insurance payments for IDPs and Ukrainians abroad.
