A policewoman hit a child, and the father was sent to the Territorial Center for Recruitment: new details of the scandal in Odesa.

In the city of Tatarbunary, located in Odesa region, a tragic incident occurred. A police officer hit a 7-year-old girl at a pedestrian crossing. The mother of the injured girl reported that when her husband contacted the police, he was directed to the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC). This was reported by the child's mother, Tetiana Konovaluk.
According to Tetiana, her husband was not wanted by the TCC until the moment the traffic accident happened. After that, he became a target of the search.
In the TCC and the Recruitment Service of Odesa region, it was stated that the man was indeed wanted. This information was disclosed in a statement by the TCC and the Recruitment Service.
The statement mentions that on May 1, the police transported a citizen to the TCC department in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, who was facing problems due to violations of the military duty law.
The military claims that after verifying the man’s data, he was directed for a medical examination. However, due to a worsening of his health condition, he was hospitalized.
The TCC of Odesa region emphasized that no physical force or illegal actions were applied to the man.
The Odesa TCC responded to information that the man is a father of many children. They stated that he did not provide any documents confirming his status as a father of many children.
The TCC of Odesa region stressed that service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not a punishment; it is a civic duty, which implies showing honor, responsibility, and solidarity with those who defend the state.
The driver who hit the girl at the pedestrian crossing has been subjected to administrative proceedings. She has been temporarily suspended from performing her official duties.
Thus, it turns out that the man, father of the injured child, was sent to the Territorial Recruitment Center due to his military duty problems. It is urgent to address such situations if they force parents to leave their children without care. For instance, recently in Khmelnytskyi, a combat participant was fined for resisting the police, which also provoked negative reactions from the public.
