Air Force reported on downed targets during the night attack by the Russian Federation.


On the night of August 14, 2024, Russian occupiers carried out an attack on Ukraine using missiles and drones. Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk reported that 17 'Shaheds' were successfully downed.
It is noted that the occupiers launched two guided aviation missiles X-59/69 from the airspace of Belgorod region and 23 strike drones of the 'Shahed' type from the areas of Chauda, Crimea, Yeysk and Kursk.
Mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and EW (Electronic Warfare) systems shot down 17 enemy drones in various regions: Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr.
Recall that on the night of August 14, an air raid warning was announced in Kyiv and some regions of Ukraine due to the threat of drones.
It is known that Ukrainian troops recently regained their positions south of Siversk and approached Spirne. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also slightly extended their positions in the western Zaporizhzhia region.
It is worth noting that the Air Force fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Russian positions in the Kursk region for the first Time. A Ukrainian Su-27 struck the Russian command post in the village of Tyotkino, located a few kilometers north of the front line.
