'Listen to what the president said. If they [the hostages] are not released, it will be a bad day,' Vitkoff stated.
According to Israeli authorities, on October 7, 2023, during the Hamas attack on Israel, 1,200 people were killed, and more than 250 were taken captive. Among the hostages are citizens of Israel and the USA, who hold dual citizenship. After negotiations and rescue operations, more than 100 people were released. However, another 101 individuals remain hostages, half of whom are believed to be alive.
