The United States imposed strengthened sanctions against Russia.

Thanks to the strengthened sanctions imposed by the US against the Russian Federation in the IT field, several leading companies have already announced their exit from the Russian market, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported.
"The US has introduced strengthened sanctions against the Russian Federation in the IT sector - several leading companies and services have announced their exit from the Russian market or the introduction of new restrictions for Russian users from September 12," the statement reads.
In particular, Google blocks the registration of new accounts with Russian numbers and deprives Russian bloggers of the ability to earn income through AdSense.
Atlassian, Jira, Trello, and Confluence have announced their complete exit from the Russian market.
The Notion service, which was used for organizing work and project management, has become unavailable in the Russian Federation.
The Miro service will not serve Russian and Belarusian accounts.
Microsoft has started disconnecting Russian users from its cloud services.
The Slack service is exiting the Russian market, leading to the end of corporate messenger support.
CAD systems, Autodesk have left the Russian Federation, and SAP and Oracle have exited the ERP market in the country.
"The new sanctions will also prohibit American companies from providing IT consulting, design, support, and cloud services to any legal entities in the Russian Federation," added the MFA.
The ministry reminded that in November 2022, the Yermak-McFaul Sanctions Group first proposed IT sanctions against the Russian Federation and thanked partners for decisive actions.
