Canada reported when it will transfer the NASAMS system to Ukraine.

Canada will transfer the modern NASAMS air defense system to Ukraine at the beginning of next year. This was announced by Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair. The country joined the order for the production of 10 such systems together with the USA, and Raytheon promised to deliver them by the end of this year. Blair emphasized that the systems will be sent to Ukraine immediately, and they will arrive in the country at the beginning of 2025.
Recall that the agreement on the transfer of NASAMS systems from Canada to Ukraine was concluded on January 10, 2023. The cost of this agreement is more than 300 million US dollars. However, the implementation of this project was delayed due to bureaucratic obstacles and the need to obtain US permission for the re-export of systems to Ukraine. In addition, it takes about two years to produce each NASAMS.
