On the night of April 17 to 18, an explosion occurred in the city of Bryansk in Russia, in a car that was carrying the leading Russian designer Yevgeny Ritikov. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing 'RBK-Ukraine'.

Ritikov headed the design bureau of the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant - one of the enterprises engaged in the development of modern radio electronic warfare and reconnaissance means for the RF army.

The explosion occurred when Ritikov got into a car with a colleague. According to preliminary data, the second deceased could be either his deputy or assistant.

Sources in the Defense Forces indicate that Ritikov was responsible, in particular, for the modernization of the Russian 'Krasukha' electronic warfare system - one of the most advanced electronic warfare stations in the RF.

Also today, an explosion occurred in the city of Balashikha near Moscow, as a result of which the deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces was killed.

Later, the Investigative Committee of the RF confirmed that the Russian Major General Yaroslav Moskalyk, who held the position of deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, was eliminated near Moscow.
