In Sumy, a 13-year-old boy saved passengers of a bus after a rocket attack.


During a rocket attack in Sumy, an explosion occurred on a passenger bus, which was carrying 13-year-old Kyrylo Illyashenko and his mother. Due to the blocked doors, passengers were trapped. Despite sustaining injuries, Kyrylo managed to escape from the burning bus through a broken window and helped rescue other people who were still inside. This was stated by the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
As a result of the shelling, the boy was injured - three shrapnel entered his head. One of them has already been removed by doctors, the others still need to be examined. Kyrylo is currently under medical supervision.
According to the boy's mother, Marina, medical examinations are ongoing. The woman also sustained injuries - shards of glass damaged her face. Fortunately, her life is not in danger, and she has already returned home.
It is known that Kyrylo is an eighth-grade student at Sumy school No. 4. In addition, he practices freestyle wrestling at the children's and youth sports school 'Fakel'.
Rocket attack in Sumy
During a rocket attack on Sumy on Sunday, April 13, the driver of a trolleybus and most of the passengers were killed. This was reported by the Sumy municipal enterprise 'Electroavtotrans'.
'Today, the driver of the KP SMR 'Electroavtotrans', Mykola Leon, made his last route... Together with most passengers, he died during another enemy attack on the city of Sumy... The double strike left no chances for innocent people who were out on this sunny festive day,' the report states.
Demand for resignation
Earlier, the mayor of Konotop announced the attack on Sumy. The mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin, demands the resignation of the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, and the head of the regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleg Krasnoshapka, due to their involvement in the Russian shelling of Sumy. Semenikhin stated this in a video on his social media.
