People's Deputy Serhiy Yevtushok shared his thoughts on the possible lowering of the conscription age and its consequences for the army. He noted that public discussion of this idea is ongoing, indicating the possibility of involving about 100,000 new servicemen each year.

'Firstly, it is very good that the president acknowledges that there is a problem with this law and process. Secondly, I reiterate that we need to defend the country unambiguously, and this should always have been done,'

The deputy also mentioned attempts to amend the law on mobilization, which sought to raise the age for the possibility of conscription from 25 to 27 years. He explained that there are currently no directive requirements from international partners regarding the lowering of the conscription age; however, discussions on this topic are ongoing. It is worth noting that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet supported this idea.

According to the deputy, if the conscription age is lowered, the army could gain another 700,000 servicemen. It was also previously reported to drivers about the possibility of presenting a military ID to the police in specific situations.
