Price analysis was conducted in supermarkets and at the Odesa market "Pochatok".
Prices in Supermarkets
In large retail chains, live carp is sold at an average price of 171.03 UAH per kilogram. There is also the option to purchase gutted carp, but the price for it is significantly higher - 229.00 UAH per kilogram. Fans of salted fish might be interested in mildly salted herring, priced at 171.00 UAH per kilogram. Fresh-frozen mackerel can be purchased for 179.00 UAH per kilogram.
Prices at the Market
At the "Pochatok" market in Odesa, prices are slightly different. Regular carp is sold at a more attractive price of 140.00 UAH per kilogram, which is lower than in supermarkets. The cost of mackerel at the market is almost the same as in supermarkets - 180.00 UAH per kilogram.
