Ukrainians compared pork prices at the market and in supermarkets.


Pork is one of the main food products in Ukraine. To evaluate where it's more profitable to buy meat, the portal "Khvylia" analyzed the cost of pork at the "Stolichny" market and in major supermarkets.
According to the analysis, pork shoulder at "Stolichny" is sold for a price from 130 to 140 UAH per kg, which is lower than the average price in supermarkets, which is 171.20 UAH per kg. The price difference reaches 31-41 UAH in favor of the market.

The prices for pork ribs slightly differ at the market and in supermarkets, ranging from 175 to 185 UAH per kg. The average price in both places is almost the same - 174.63 UAH per kg.
In the case of pork neck, the difference between the market and supermarkets is greater. Prices at the market range from 215 to 240 UAH per kg, while in supermarkets the average price is 274.70 UAH per kg. Thus, the difference is from 34 to 59 UAH in favor of the market.

Overall, pork prices at the "Stolichny" market are slightly lower than in supermarkets. However, the price difference varies depending on the part of the carcass.
