The captain of the Ukrainian national team and leader of 'Valencia', Alina Yagupova, scored 9 points and 5 rebounds in the decisive match.
In her second season in Spain, Yagupova played 32 matches, averaging 23.1 minutes, scoring 9.3 points and 2.8 rebounds.
In the Euroleague, 'Valencia' finished in fourth place, while Yagupova showed good results with an average of 11.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per match.
FIBA confirmed the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian teams from participation in tournaments due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The decision of the organization's executive committee will be reviewed at the next meeting in August 2025.
Analyzing the events, it should be noted that only the strongest teams remain in the NBA playoffs, ready to fight for the championship, while FIBA's decision indicates increased pressure on aggressor countries in the world of sports.
