The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as of the morning of Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Russian occupiers have suffered significant losses in the war.

As of November 5, Russia has lost:
- more than 701,650 personnel (+1260),
- 9208 tanks (+15),
- 18,581 units of combat armored vehicles (+43),
- 20,150 artillery systems (+29),
- 1245 rocket systems (+0),
- 996 air defense systems (+2),
- 369 aircraft (+0),
- 329 helicopters (+0),
- 18,309 operational-tactical level UAVs (+29),
- 2631 cruise missiles (+2),
- 28 ships/boats (+0),
- 1 submarine (+0),
- 28,278 units of automotive equipment and tank trucks (+41),
- 3587 units of special equipment (+0).
Data are still being clarified.
Occupant fleet activity as of November 5
- There is only one enemy ship in the Black Sea, equipped with Caliber cruise missiles, capable of making four shots;
- There are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov;
- There is one enemy ship in the Mediterranean Sea, equipped with Caliber cruise missiles, capable of making eight shots.
In the last 24 hours, Russia used the Kerch Strait to:
- pass one vessel into the Black Sea, which continued its route towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- pass one vessel into the Sea of Azov, none of which arrived from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, the 986th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine continues.
