«Now it's me...». Russian Medvedev cursed at a spectator during the Australian Open.


Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev argued with a fan during the Australian Open match. With a score of 3:5 and 0:40 in the first set against American Lerner Tien, Medvedev expressed himself in Russian about a spectator in the stands. 'Now you will be f***'. After that, Medvedev lost the first and second sets, and the match is still ongoing.
Ukrainian tennis player Svitolina reached the 1/16 finals of the Australian Open
On January 14, the first-round match of the Australian Open took place, in which Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina defeated Kasidit Samrey from Thailand. During the game, Medvedev hit the net with his racket several times and broke the camera that was attached to it. For this unsportsmanlike behavior, the referee reminded Medvedev about a warning, as well as a possible penalty of $100,000. Elina Svitolina won the match against Caroline Doulehyde and advanced to the 1/16 finals of the Australian Open. This was her most successful tournament since the previous US Open 2024, after which she underwent leg surgery. This victory over Doulehyde was Svitolina's 100th victory at Grand Slam tournaments.
Eliminated occupier and Russian kickboxing champion
The armed forces eliminated the occupier and Russian kickboxing champion Petr Dirkents. Dirkents was a master of sports in Russia in kickboxing and won the title of champion of Russia in 2002. He was also the coach of the kickboxing section 'Attack' from 2010 to 2011. Propagandists did not provide the date of Dirkents' elimination, but the farewell took place on January 10 in Omsk.
