IAEA Expert Warns: Iran on Path to Nuclear Armament.

Iran Could Become a Nuclear State as Early as Spring 2025
Former senior official of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Olli Heinonen, believes that Iran could have a ready nuclear arsenal by April next year, causing serious concern to the international community. He noted that while this does not mean the destruction of the country, it would give Iran a strong advantage in negotiations. The increase in uranium stockpiles enriched up to 60% has occurred in Iran, amounting to 165 kg as of August 2024. Uranium enriched up to 90% is needed to create a nuclear bomb. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also expressed outrage over these capabilities of Iran. The former IAEA senior official believes that missiles launched at Israel could be used to deliver nuclear weapons. Iran continues to assert the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, but Western countries and Israel perceive it as a cover for weapon development. Iran's cooperation with Russia is also a concern for the US and the UK, who plan to introduce new sanctions. The situation has significant geopolitical implications and could affect security not only in the Middle East but also worldwide.
