Border guards showed how they destroyed a Shahed drone over Odessa - video.

Odessa border guards demonstrated their efficiency in shooting down enemy strike drones during a daytime attack. Thanks to the joint actions of the servicemen, one of the Shaheds was unable to reach its target today.

Shooting down the drone

In the video published by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Odessa military personnel can be seen detecting an enemy drone approaching Odessa from the sea. The servicemen opened fire on the drone with a heavy machine gun and an assault rifle. The soldiers managed to destroy the strike drone, which exploded in the air and fell into the water without reaching its target.

'During the next air attack, the border guards of the Odessa detachment eliminated an enemy kamikaze drone. Under the precise fire of the defenders, the UAV was shattered into pieces over the sea,' the border guards noted.

Shelling of Odessa on July 11

During the daytime attack on July 11, the civil infrastructure in Odessa suffered serious damage. Residential and administrative buildings, as well as a stable, were damaged by shelling. In addition, enemy drones destroyed the cars of local residents, and it is currently known about 11 injured.

Recall that earlier we reported that residents of Odessa spoke about the shelling of the city. It was also mentioned about the injury of the son-in-law of the former deputy head of the Odessa Regional State Administration.
