In Germany, a simple alternative to solar panels has been developed: how it works.

The German company Heliatek has developed a film based on organic photovoltaic elements that can turn any building into an energy generator. Conventional solar panels are usually installed on the roofs of houses and offices, but their use is limited due to lack of space and rigidity. The new Heliatek panels, being thin and light, can be installed on any surfaces, even cylindrical and curved ones. With this technology, solar energy can be transferred to walls, windows, and even interiors. The solar film can cover facades, windows, sides of wind turbines, bus stops, and office towers. This means that any building can become a self-sufficient power station, providing for its energy needs and even feeding excess energy back into the grid.
This technology is revolutionary as it transfers solar energy from roofs to walls, windows, and even interiors
It is noted that the new technology increases the possibilities of using solar energy, but there are issues that need to be addressed, such as the development of organic photovoltaic element production technologies and increasing their lifespan. It is expected that with further improvement of these elements and reduction of their cost, the use of solar energy in urban areas will undergo radical changes.
